Mothers’ Union within the Nuneaton Deanery have two Festival services each year and six of us attended the Autumn Festival at Attleborough Church. It was well attended by members of all the branches within the Deanery, and we enjoyed a friendly time of fellowship which included a beautiful service of Holy Communion.
As mentioned in the last news bulletin, boxes for Operation Christmas Child have been packed with suitable items for disadvantaged children in Eastern Europe, and a total of 15 are ready for despatch.
During the year each Branch has a month when they are responsible for donating toiletries for the Mens’ Refuge in Nuneaton. January is the month when Corley and Fillongley gather these together. If anyone wishes to give toiletries to this cause, please contact Wendy or Heather.
The Diocesan Advent Service will be at St. John’s Church in Kenilworth on Monday 30th November at 11 a.m. This will be Felicity’s final service as President. If anyone would like to join us in celebrating Advent, please contact a member who will arrange transport.
Advance notice – As this year’s Pudding Party was such a success we shall be holding another on Friday 23rd April 2010 at Corley Village Hall. Watch this space.
All at Mothers’ Union wish you a very Happy Christmas.

As Christmas approaches our Branch will again be packing boxes for needy children across Central and Eastern Europe to take part in Operation Christmas Child.Gifts such as toys and sweets, crayons, toothpaste, woolly hats and gloves are among the items which are joyfully received by children who have so little. If you would like to help by donating items for these boxes, please see Wendy or Heather who will have explanatory leaflets.
