The potential for an upgrade and adoption of part of Achaleven Road, Connel, will be discussed at the next Area Committee Meeting in Taynuilt on 14 August. This is the portion of road which goes from the A85 opposite Dunfuinary, over the railway level crossing, to the Achaleven Crofts.

This is the only route into Achaleven for Refuse Lorries, Fire Engines, Roads Maintenance Vehicles, etc. and the possibility of an upgrade and subsequent adoption by Argyll & Bute Council is strongly supported by Connel Community Council.
