As part of their Community Engagement Programme, Aggregate Industries (Glensanda) provided labour and materials yesterday and began work on improvements at the Falls Viewpoint. The whole area was strimmed and brushwood was cut back making the area much more attractive and accessible to visitors. The Glensanda men also built some steps to make a safer route up to the grassy knoll. We are really grateful to Glensanda for their help.

The Community Council would like to appeal to users of the Car Park to be considerate and not park there for hours or (sometimes!) days on end. The Falls Viewpoint is principally for visitors to view Connel Bridge and, if the tide is right, the spectacle of the falls. The last picture below was taken yesterday: there were only two people viewing the area when the picture was taken!!
