In the meeting, the council considered a report from the Road Safety Group on the outcome of the 20 mph trial in Aberfeldy. A provisional analysis of some of the data from the trial indicates that the 20 mph limit has reduced the frequency and severity of speeding in the town. The council voted in favour of retaining the 20 mph zone. A full report and consulation with PKC are expected in the coming weeks, with a final decision required by the beginning of September.
